TakeMeFishing.org Adds Marina Link
New links guides visitors to online marina reservations, marina reviews and more.
ALEXANDRIA, Va. — The Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation today announced the addition of a new link on their TakeMeFishing.org Web site that will help visitors book their next boating trip. The 'Places to Go' menu now includes a marina reservations option, which sends visitors to Marinalife, a Baltimore-based membership company that provides a centralized, online marine reservation service.
Marinalife has four levels of membership and can help boaters and anglers reserve transient or long-term dockage as well as help to create customized cruise plans. It also allows users to create a logbook and reservation profile and find information including marina reviews, discounts on dockage, fuel, restaurants and more.
"The marina reservations link is just one more way we're trying to help people get out on the water," said RBFF President Frank Peterson. "We are continually looking for ways to expand and improve the site and this resource helps us do just that."
A new and improved TakeMeFishing.org was launched in April 2007 with an expanded 'Where to Boat and Fish' locator that identifies places to boat and fish in all 50 states and local information on Family Friendly Hot Spots.
The Web site, which now hosts more than 11,000 locations and has received more than 680,000 unique visitors since the re-launch, also offers visitors a wealth of information on a variety of boating and fishing topics, including:
Convenient access facilities, such as launch ramps, marinas and fishing piers
Services, including charter operators, boat sales and rentals, fishing retailers and bait and tackle shops
Educational information, including how to choose the right boat, where to take boating safety courses and links to local fishing organizations
The Kids' Fishing Hall of Fame section, where parents, grandparents and friends can share kids' fishing experiences and photos with friends and family across the country and around the world
